We do not recommend that you setup new ChiliProject instances and we urge all existing users to migrate their data to a maintained system, e.g. Redmine. We will provide a migration script later. In the meantime, you can use the instructions by Christian Daehn.

Description

Quoting the corresponding Redmine issue, which has about 30 votes:

At the moment, users can't watch news items. They can subscribe the the provided feeds, but they can't get emails like they do [with] tickets.

I can reproduce the issue with http://demo.chiliproject.org/.
