ChiliProject is not maintained anymore. Please be advised that there will be no more updates.

We do not recommend that you setup new ChiliProject instances and we urge all existing users to migrate their data to a maintained system, e.g. Redmine. We will provide a migration script later. In the meantime, you can use the instructions by Christian Daehn.

Multiple Users with same email.

Hi there,

I'm in the process of evaluating Chili for our needs.
I stumbled over one issue: I want to use the same emailadress for multiple users, but Chili rejects this.
Any way to realize this?
Reason: I'm the admin of the server, but want to do my 'normal' work using a normal user account, so I need the admin to have the same email as my user account. For internal reasons it is not possible to use a special admin mailadress.

It's not possible to have multiple users with the same email address short of patching the underlying code, which would bring other problems with it.

The problem is that the email addresses are used to identify users in different parts of ChiliProject (incoming emails, git commits, …) and even if you were to remove the check, I'm not sure how those parts would react to multiple users with the same address.

One way you could have multiple users with the "same" email address would be to use address tags if your mail server supports it.
