migration from redmine to chiliproject and SQLight to MySQL
Added by Tammo Tjarks at 2011-10-24 06:27 pm
Hello,
I am using Redmine Version 1.1.1 and would like to switch to Chiliproject. Furthermore the number of people using the bugtracker will increase and therefore I would like to switch from
SQLite to MySQL. Is it to recommend to migrate first the database or first from Redmine to Chiliproject. Or is it, what I would really appreciate, possible to do both in parallel?
And one more far down the forum history. If I gathered correctly you got migrated with taps? That's one of the best ways to go currently.
Yes,
I looked around and found on a page here (here in the wiki) the hint to us taps. It worked without much problems (I was not sure, if it was necessary to export a sql-database at all, or if I could directly import it to mysql. Used the save way and first exported the sqlight database with taps and imported started afterwarts a new server to the mysql server to import the sqlite database there. To be on the save side I had a short look with knoda ( a kde mysql client) and it looked ok.
