ChiliProject is not maintained anymore. Please be advised that there will be no more updates.

We do not recommend that you setup new ChiliProject instances and we urge all existing users to migrate their data to a maintained system, e.g. Redmine. We will provide a migration script later. In the meantime, you can use the instructions by Christian Daehn.

Interface customization && update troubles

I see two serious questions:

1. Customization (ex, i need Welcome text at login page, before user registered and logged in). At least, checkbox "Show message in login page too" in "Administration - Settings - General" (independent welcome message to main features of ChiliProject is better).

2. After update appears second trouble: the additional labour for recovering the customizations of previous version.

Will section of the reference for decision of the customization problems?

Will standardization of user customization the interface at a design level?

The best way to customize ChiliProject is with plugins. Using a plugin and the Plugin Hooks (needs to be documented) you can customize the user interface at specific hook points. Plugins also won't require you to modify the core code so updates should work (your 2nd question).
