Please be advised that there will be no more updates.
We do not recommend that you setup new ChiliProject instances and

Why choose Chiliproject ?
Added by paul young at 2012-05-09 09:38 am
Hello,
I installed chiliproject, i quite like it even though i feel it's limited in some ways. One of the reasons I chose chiliproject was because it's coded in Ruby about which I heard a lot of good things.
And then a friend showed me Drupal, a CMS which also provides project management module, and you can add on many other features which can enrich the application.
I am asking myself now if should stick with Chiliproject, maybe anyone can give me some advices?
thanks!
Which Drupal module[s] are you referring to? Do you have a link?
I'm actually preparing to install either redmine or ChiliProject to manage my Drupal projects (as well as others) and their respective revision control.
Hi,
even if I'm not familiar with the Drupal project management - systems like Redmine and ChiliProject are design special for project management and thus contain (usually) much more features and a more detailed workflow...
So if you are searching for a solution which just hold some simple infos about your projects and you don't need fine grained project management functions (like use role management, hierarchical projects, gantt diagrams, powerful ticket system, integration of many version control systems etc.) than you should be fine with the Drupal based solution.
Besides it takes much time to work into the ticket system and to use all it's features - here I suggest taking a Redmine book or howto to understand the principles of ticket systems first, before starting to implement just one you find fancy looking...
With some more background infos about ticket systems, you should have more points to evaluate the different systems...
ciao,
Chris
